Yaasriel - an angel invoked in Jewish legend who is in charge of the 70 “holy pencils”. With these pencils he constantly engraves anew on shards the ineffable name.
Yabbashael - name means “god’s mainland”. One of the seven angels who exercise dominion over the earth.
Yadiel (Yadael) - An angel who assists in ceremonial rites. Cited in the Sword of Moses.
He is also a guard of the gates of the north wind, and stationed in the third heaven where the winds are contained.
Yael (Yale, Yehel) - Yael means “god’s peak”, but the earlier form of Yale means “mountain goat”. He is invoked in magical rites for the close of the Sabbath. He is of the order of thrones.
Yahadriel - One of the three “mouths” as created by god in the Zohar. Kadriel, is the second, “the mouth of the ass” & “the mouth of the lord” is the third.
Yahala - An angel who guards (with many others) the gates of the West Wind. He is stationed in the third Heaven, where the winds are held.
Yahanaq Rabba - An angel who guards (with many others) the gates of the East Wind. He is stationed in the third heaven, where the winds are kept.
Yahel (Yael) - His name is inscribed on the fourth pentacle of the moon. He is a moon angel under Gabriel & also one of the 15 throne angels according to the sixth & seventh books of Moses.
Yahoel (Yaho, Jehoel, Jaoel) - The first of Metatron’s names. Yahoel taught Abraham the Torah & was the patriarch’s guide on earth as well as in paradise later. In the Apocalypse of Abraham, Yahoel says to Abraham: “I am called Yahoel… a power by the virtue of the ineffable name dwelling in me.” He is equated with Jehoel; a leader of angelic choirs.
Yahrameel - equated with Yahoel & Iofiel. Yahrameel is a radiant & “great” angel in occult lore. Yahrameel is said just to be another name of Iofiel “Beauty of god.” Also, the 17th century alchemist, Robert Fludd mentions Yahrameel in his Cosmology of the Microcosm.
Yahriel (Yehra, Yarheil, Zachariel) - An angel under Gabriel who is equated with Zachariel as being an angel governing the moon. Yahriel is derived from Yerah, meaning moon.
Yahsiyah - one of the 72 names of the angel Metatron.
Yakriel - A guard of the seventh heaven. He is stationed in the outermost of the great halls.
Yalda Bahut (Ialdabaoth, Aariel, Akramachamarei)- In the Gnostic, or Ophitic system; this is another name for Ialdabaoth who is one of the 7 great archons. Aariel is in fact, the oldest name for this entity & the angel/archon are considered one in the same. He is the demiourgos (Demiurge), & occupies a position immediately below “the unknown father.” See Ialdabaoth.
Yamenton - An angel mentioned in the Kabbalah to be invoked in the “benediction of the salt.”
Yaqroun - An angel of the mandeans. He guards over the welfare of virtuous women.
Yarashiel - An angel who, (with many others) guards the gates of the East wind. He is located in the third heaven, where the winds are contained.

Yaron - He is of the order of Cherubim & Seraphim. He is invoked in the “benediction of the salt” according to the greater key of Solomon.”
Yashiel - His name is found inscribed on the first pentacle of the moon. He is an angel under Gabriel in the ruling of the moon.
Yazatas (Yazids) - means: “Worshipful ones.” They are the choir of angels in the Persian hierarchy, and guard the interests of mankind under the aegis of the Amesha Spentas (archangels). The chief of their order is “Mithra”, the personification of light & truth. In Zoroastrianism, they are celestial beings & geniis of the elements. (making them djinn rather than angels.)
Yazroun - An angel of the mandeans who is said to be Yaqroun’s twin aspect.
Yebemel - One of the 72 angels of the zodiac. He works with Yechoel.
Yechoel - Also an angel of the zodiac. He is associated with Yebemel.
Yedideron - of the 10 holy sefiroth, he is the 6th personalized angel. In Isaac ha-Cohen of Soria’s text, the less “authoritative” personalized angel is either, Michael, Raphael, Pehel or Tzephon.
Yefefiah (Yefehfiah, Jefefiyah, Iofiel, Yofiel, Dina, Yahrameel) - His name means “divine beauty.” He is the angelic prince over the Torah. To the Mandeans, he was known as “Yfin-Yufafin.” He is under the angel Metatron. In the revelation of Moses he is known as “Dina.” He was also the angel who taught moses the mystery of the kabbalah. To the Aramaens, he was one of the 6 (or 7) great archangels; and was later cited in several Aramaic incantation texts.

Yehudiah (Yehudiam)- He is an angel under Uriel & who works with Azrael as an angel of death. He is in the Zohar as a chief angelic envoy, who descends with myriads of attending angels for the purpose of bearing aloft the souls of persons about to die, or who have just died. He also is said to work both with Yahriel & Michael.
Yekahel - His name is inscribed on the first pentacle of the planet mercury. According to the kabbalah, he is one of the spirits of that planet.

Yesod (Yesodiel) - means foundation. It is the 9th of the 10 holy sephiroth in the kabbalah. Yesod was the name invoked by Moses to call upon the angel of death who struck down the first born of men & animals in Egypt during the plagues.
Yetsirah - It means “formation” said to be the peak of Heaven where the 7 aeons where first created. It was the first part of Heaven to be emanated from God. It is the chief domain of the angels & of God.
Yetzer Hara (Yetzer Ra) - In Jewish tradition, this is another term for Satan. Also a name used for the angels of death who bear the souls of the damned. Most commonly it is known as the evil inclination of man, the part of a man’s soul that yearns to sin.

Yisrael - His name means “princehood & strength” or “God’s prince.” It is another name for Israel in the Zohar.
Yizriel X - means “princehood” or “God’s princehood.” One of the 14 invocation angels in The Sword of Moses. Also an ineffable name for God.
Ylrng - One of the Noma Barbara, mentioned in The Book of The Angel Raziel.
Yofiel (Iofiel, Youfiel, Jofiel, Yefefiah, Yahrameel) - According to an aggada in Jewish lore, he is a prince of the Torah and the angel preceptor of Shem.In the Zohar, he is a great angelic chief with 53 legions of lesser hierarchs (called sometimes the “Mazzikin”), serving him. In the Kabbalah, Yofiel is invoked as an amulet angel & he is one of the spirits of the planet Jupiter (when Jupiter enters the signs of Pisces & Sagittarius.) Yofiel is called apon to defeat the demon, Kafzefoni. In Bamberger’s Fallen Angels, he quotes: “To Yofiel, the king of the Mazzikin, Kafzefoni must submit.”
Yofiel Mittron X - An angel cited in The Sword of Moses, also an ineffable name of God. This name connects Yofiel & Metatron; which is the source of their common association with each other.
Yofim (Yofafin) - An angel of the Mandeans.
Yomael (Yomiel) - An angelic prince of the 7th Heaven who stands guard at the great halls, according to 3 Enoch. He is also invoked in Syriac conjuring rites.

Yourba - [Yurba]
Yrouel - He is the angel of fear. His name is found inscribed in amulets worn by women during pregnancy.
Yura - Also called “The Great Mystic Yura.” To the Mandeans, he was a spirit of light & rain.
Yurba (Yourba) - A demon. To the Mandeans, he was chief of the evil genii; this denotes that he is a djinn & not an angel. He was also called “the chief of the powers of darkness, who acted as a servant under the powers of light.” It is said that the great “Buhram”, developed his powers from Yurba.
Yurkemi (Yorkami, Baradiel) - He is the angel of Hail. In Jewish lore, Yurkemi offered to aid in extinguishing the fires consuming the three men in the furnace of Nebbuchadnezzar; but Gabriel would not allow it; arguing that Yurkemi’s help would not suffice.
Yushamin (Yusamin) - A Mandean spirit of fertility, dwelling in the wellsprings of light. He is also said by the Mandeans to be one of the 3 supreme “uthri” (angels). See also Samandiriel.
